DKR is investigating claims related to former RBC broker Paul V. Blum, who worked out of RBC Capital Market’s West Palm Beach, Florida office. Blum has been accused by a number of customers of over-concentrating their accounts in oil and gas and related energy securities, including Swift Energy Co., Basic Energy Services, Inc., Alpha Natural Resources, and RRI Energy. Blum also has been accused of recommending unsuitable investments to customers. RBC has been contacting customers and offering settlements of potential claims.
