Jeffrey B. Kaplan is a founding partner of Dimond Kaplan & Rothstein, P.A. He is based out of the firm's Miami, Florida office, but travels nationwide for his clients' cases. A nationally ranked trial lawyer with approximately 30 years of legal experience, Mr. Kaplan focuses his law practice on plaintiff-side consumer fraud arbitration and class action litigation and securities arbitration and litigation. He represents victims of cybersecurity breaches, consumer fraud, and investment fraud throughout South Florida, the United States, and Latin America. His clients’ legal needs typically involve the following:

· Stockbroker Negligence and Investment Fraud Arbitration and Litigation

· Data Privacy and Cybersecurity Arbitration and Class Action Litigation

· Consumer Fraud Arbitration and Class Action Litigation

Mr. Kaplan represents the rights and interests of individual and institutional investors who have experienced financial losses due to stockbroker negligence or investment fraud. He also represents consumers nationwide who have been victims of consumer fraud, data privacy and cybersecurity breaches. His practice also includes representing banking and securities industry professionals involved in employment disputes with banks and brokerage firms.

Mr. Kaplan has recovered millions of dollars for his clients, earning his memberships in the Million Dollar and Multi-Million Dollar Advocate Forums. He has gained a reputation as a leading authority in securities law and arbitration. FINRA has nominated for two separate three-year terms on the National Arbitration and Mediation Committee, which draft rules that govern FINRA arbitration proceedings.

Honored for his outstanding professionalism and superior client service, Mr. Kaplan has earned an AV Preeminent peer review rating from Martindale-Hubbell, and the South Florida Legal Guide has voted him among his region's Top Lawyers each year since 2007. He also has been recognized by Chambers USA, which identifies the top 2% of U.S. lawyers. In addition, Mr. Kaplan has been named a "Top Rated Lawyer" in Southern California by American Lawyer Media (n/k/a ALM), a member of the "Legal Elite List" by Florida Trend Magazine, and a member of Florida Superlawyer.

A 1990 magna cum laude graduate of Northeastern University in Boston, Massachusetts, Mr. Kaplan obtained his Juris Doctor cum laude from the University of Miami School of Law in 1994. A dean's list scholar in law school, he also served as associate editor of the Entertainment and Sports Law Review.

Mr. Kaplan has served as chairperson of the Young Philanthropists of Baptist Hospital and is a former member of the organization's steering committee. He is also has been active with the Greater Miami Jewish Federation, having served as chair and vice chair on a number of its committees and receptions. He also has served his legal community as a Chairperson of a Florida Bar Grievance Committee. He is a member of the United Way Tocqueville Society, and he has served as director-at-large for the University of Miami Alumni Association.
